Among these sports clubs the Budapesti Honvéd SE and the Vasas SC have international reputation. ATTE is our public sports club having 1200 registered members. Sportsmen and sportswomen related to our district won several titles and medals in Olympic Games, World and European Championships, in the Sydney Olympic Games they obtained more than one third of the total points of the Hungarian Olympic team.

Our local government does its utmost to provide sporting facilities for every age group. Therefor it co-operates with educational institutions of the district, lays stress upon the importance of physical training, swimming and generally all kinds of sports and games for students. In order to provide the suitable sports facilities, we began medical check-ups, established the Angyalföld Sport School and Pupils’ Sports Club and began to build the Láng Sports Complex and continuously renew our swimming pools. In co-operation with the district’s sports clubs of national importance we together do our best to widen the range of sport facilities, popularise and support quality sports and games.
