11000 children attend our schools: annually 2400 children go to 16 infant-schools, 6300 pupils to 15 primary schools, 2400 pupils to 5 secondary grammar schools of our district. Our schools have good reputation, they offer interesting and colourful educational programs, the rate of pupils who continue their studies in universities and colleges is high, the number of good places won in national educational competitions is also conspicuous. In the list where secondary schools graded by the number of their students admitted to universities and colleges, Berzsenyi Dániel and Németh László Grammar Schools are among the best ten schools in Hungary. In addition to promotion of the talented we consider the closing up of children and pupils who fell behind is of crucial importance as well. In the grammar schools we have started ECDL-programs and languages courses free of charge. Finishing an ECDL-program, successive learners get European Computer Driving License, whilst language courses prepare learners for the intermediate language state exam type C (written and oral). All of our schools and kindergartens have quality assurance and have the right to use the title ‘quality school’.
